A quick update on our building project. We have received a grant of £1000 from the Baptist Union Home Mission Fund to use to replace the cooker in our church kitchen.
We had to remove the old cooker because it didn’t meet safety regulations. It will be great to be able to reinstate the famous ELBC Christmas Lunch, not to mention being able to prepare hot food for the many social events in our church calendar!
The plan is to install two electric fan ovens and a new gas hob. We hadn’t originally intended to include any work on the kitchen in our church refurbishment, but now that this grant has become available it does seem right that we should plan the two projects together.
